Torsten joined LMPC in 2025 after more than a decade in education and several years in youth ministry. He taught science at Chapin Intermediate for 10 years and spent the last two years at Dutch Fork High School. From 2018 to 2022, he also served as Youth Director at Central UMC in Newberry. Torsten and his wife, Lacey, live in Chapin with their two children—Mills (3½), who attends the LMPC Day School, and Maren, who will be joining in the fall.
He’s passionate about walking alongside students as they grow in their faith and is excited to grow roots here at LMPC. In his spare time, Torsten enjoys reading (especially fantasy books), playing, and watching sports, and unwinding with a good video game.
