Torsten Hallman

Torsten joined LMPC in 2025 after more than a decade in education and several years in youth ministry. He taught science at Chapin Intermediate for 10 years and spent the last two years at Dutch Fork High School. From 2018 to 2022, he also served as Youth Director at Central UMC in Newberry. Torsten and his wife, Lacey, live in Chapin with their two children—Mills (3½), who attends the LMPC Day School, and Maren, who will be joining in the fall.

He’s passionate about walking alongside students as they grow in their faith and is excited to grow roots here at LMPC. In his spare time, Torsten enjoys reading (especially fantasy books), playing, and watching sports, and unwinding with a good video game.

Caroline Schierlmann

Caroline Schierlmann has served as Director of Music for Lake Murray Presbyterian Church since 2023. She began working for LMPC as a choral scholar in 2022.  Caroline is a classically trained operatic singer, who has performed in local opera productions through Opera at USC, and local community theatre productions with Chapin Theatre Company. Come join us in Worship on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm in the choir room!

Martha Lavigne

Martha serves as our Administrative Assistant for Membership after serving many other important roles within the church for over 7 years. She always enjoys helping members who call or stop by her desk for assistance.Martha enjoys music, golf, the Gamecocks, knitting, crocheting, her family, and having friends over for dinner and a game of cards.

Rev. Lynn Grandsire

Lynn serves as our part-time Parish Associate for Care. She joined LMPC in 2024 and assists with pastoral care, teaching, and the mentoring of our Deacons. She is also liaison for Christian Education. Lynn enjoys all kinds of crafts and working in her yard.

Rev. Daniel Kreiss

Dan has served in ministry his entire adult life, including 15 years in the Wellington region of New Zealand, where he worked in youth ministry and as chaplain at a school for middle and high school boys. He served a further 15 years as dean of the school of mission at King University in Bristol, Tenn.

Dan came to LMPC in December of 2024 with his wife of 35 years, Cindy. They are both passionate about connecting with people and growing together with them in sharing God’s love with the wider community. Together Cindy and Dan have 4 grown children.  He enjoys hiking, road cycling and fly fishing.

 

 

 

Rev. Blaine Hill

Blaine has served as the Associate Pastor for Mission and Evangelism since 2016. He is excited to lead the congregation’s work to share Christ’s love with the surrounding community and around the world. He and Laura have been married for more than 25 years and have 4 young adult children.

Rene Reismann

Rene Reismann has been employed by LMPC since August 2024. She and her husband moved to SC from Wisconsin in August 2023. She really enjoys working with all of the staff and has six grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy the weather and all the beautiful towns in South Carolina.

Leslie Lindler

Leslie is our Administrative Director, after spending more than 20 years in healthcare management. She is excited to apply her knowledge and love of spreadsheets. Her husband Chris is a lifelong Chapin resident and together they have one adult daughter.

Ken Anderson

Ken has served as Organist/Pianist for LMPC since August of 2016. Ken retired in 2024 from his life in Information Technology and has been excited to have the opportunity to have more time to practice for Sunday worship. Ken has been married to Julie Wofford Anderson for 34 yrs and they have two adult children and four grandchildren.

Jennifer Williams

Jennifer Williams has served as Day School Director since June of 2022. She has been with LMPC Day School since 2008, first as a 2yr old teacher, then as Assistant Director and finally Director.Jennifer has a special approach to her role, viewing her work with children as a calling and an extention of her faith. Her connection with students, parents and staff creates a positive and supportive enviroment. She has lived in Chapin since 2002 and has an 19 yr old son.
